Daming – Successful delivery of the world’s first carbon capture system core equipment for bulk carriers

With the increasing number of ships around the world, ships are emitting more and more sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides in the ocean, which has a serious impact on the environment and human health. In order to solve this problem, many ships have started to use marine desulfurization scrubber for exhaust gas treatment, in order to effectively reduce the emission of sulfur oxides, which not only reduces the ship’s pollution of the atmosphere, but also helps to reduce the formation of acid rain.
Recently, Daming Energy Equipment Branch successfully completed the manufacture and inspection of the world’s first core equipment of carbon capture system for bulk carriers, the desulfurization-absorption twin tower. This milestone event marks an important breakthrough between Daming and SINOTECH ENERGY in the field of carbon capture on ships.

Sulfur decarbonization system retrofitting service refers to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and realizing the negative carbon emission potential of green energy, providing assistance for reducing CO₂ emissions in the future, guaranteeing energy security and building an ecological civilization and achieving sustainable development.
Considering the tight delivery schedule of the customer’s project, in order to ensure the smooth progress of manufacturing and inspection, Daming Energy Equipment set up a project team and gave full play to the team’s ability to fight, and with the rapid on-site feedback, excellent technical level and highly responsible service attitude, the members of the team succeeded in creating a record of the shortest delivery cycle of the core equipment of the carbon capture system and completed all the processes from the cutting of materials to the delivery in 10 days ahead of schedule with high quality, providing a good service to the customer. The whole process from cutting to delivery was completed 10 days ahead of schedule, which solved the delivery problem for the customer.
