Hubei Daming Completes Precision Components for Nuclear Power Applications

Hubei Daming has completed the production and delivery of a batch of precision components for a nuclear power application, with thicknesses approaching 30 mm. The components required tight dimensional tolerances and highly consistent forming quality to meet the requirements of downstream nuclear power assembly.

Following the customer’s initial gantry milling operations, Hubei Daming was responsible for the subsequent high-precision forming processes. Given the critical application and stringent quality requirements, the team established a controlled production process covering parameter verification, forming, inspection and final quality checks. Self-inspection and cross-inspection were implemented throughout production to maintain consistent process quality and full traceability.

Heavy-plate bending was one of the key manufacturing challenges. Hubei Daming optimized the forming parameters and fine-tuned the lower-die settings to achieve precise alignment between the upper and lower dies. This enabled the components to maintain highly consistent bending angles and accurate alignment through every bending operation, meeting the dimensional requirements of the customer’s nuclear power assembly process.

The customer’s technical representatives remained involved throughout production and carried out three on-site quality surveillance inspections. Their feedback was incorporated into the manufacturing process in real time, providing additional verification of critical dimensions and forming quality before final delivery.

The completed components passed final inspection on the first submission with zero defects. The project demonstrates Hubei Daming’s capabilities in heavy-plate machining and high-precision bending, as well as its ability to maintain tight process control for critical components used in nuclear power and other high-end energy applications.

The successful delivery further expands Hubei Daming’s experience in supporting demanding energy-sector projects where dimensional accuracy, process consistency and quality traceability are essential.
