Daming Wins National Award for Innovation Demonstration in Smart Factory

The first solution of Dual Gigabit + Cloud + AI smart in the steel processing industry, jointly created by Hubei Daming and Wuhan Mobile, won the third Guanghua Cup Innovation Demonstration Award.

This is also another honor for Hubei Daming after winning the second prize of the Hubei regional competition project of the sixth “Blooming Cup” 5G Application Collection Competition, being selected into the first group of the Hubei Province 5G Factory Certification List in 2024, and winning the “Industry Typical Application Case” Award at the 2024 China 5G+ Industrial Internet Conference, marking that Hubei Daming has been authoritatively recognized in the construction of smart factories.

The Guanghua Cup Gigabit Optical Network Application Innovation Competition is the largest and most influential national competition in my country’s optical network field. It aims to explore innovative benchmark cases of deep integration of gigabit optical networks and the real economy. This competition is themed Building New Quality with Light, Leading the Future with Intelligence, and has set up application and technology special competitions, regional competitions, and finals, and has collected more than 17,000 gigabit optical network application cases. The award won by Daming marks that Daming has been recognized by the authority in the construction of smart factories.

Earlier last year, Hubei Daming won the second prize in the Hubei Regional Competition of the 5G Application Collection Competition, was selected as one of the first group of 5G factories in Hubei Province in 2024, and also won the Typical Industry Application Case Award in the China 5G+Industrial Internet Conference 2024.

Based on the Dual Gigabit project, the Hubei Daming Smart Factory aims to build a dual-gigabit smart factory. Through digitalization, intelligence, and green transformation, it realizes five core values: high-speed flow of goods, safe operation of equipment, efficient production, precise quality control, and significant reduction in energy consumption.

The project created the first dual-gigabit + cloud + AI intelligent solution in the steel processing industry. Through the construction of dual-gigabit networks and the deployment of innovative applications, the single-line production efficiency is increased by 20%, the inventory checkout is reduced from 20 minutes to 3 minutes, and the energy consumption is reduced by 15%, with a significant increase in profit.

As the first intelligent solution in the iron and steel processing industry to win this award, Hubei Daming’s practice provides a replicable template for traditional manufacturing industries: the Dual Gigabit Network adapts to the needs of factory data transmission and equipment collaboration, the lightweight cloud platform reduces the threshold of enterprise IT investment, and the solution has been selected as one of the “5G + Industrial Internet” projects in Hubei Province.

In the future, Daming will deepen the smart + green + collaborative development model and drive the transformation of the steel processing industry forward to high efficiency, low energy consumption, and high added value.
