Daming International and Baosteel Build Stronger Partnerships Across the Steel Value Chain

On July 28, a Daming International delegation led by Zhou Keming, Chairman of the Board, visited Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (Baosteel) in Shanghai for a business exchange focused on strengthening cooperation across steel processing, specialty steel development and supply chain services.

The delegation included Liang Zongren, President of Daming International; Luo Zhihui, President of Daming Heavy Industry Group; Deng Liangfeng, General Manager of Jingjiang Daming; Yang Shun, General Manager of Daming Xiehe Supply Chain and Deputy General Manager of Daming Group’s Carbon Steel Division; and Zhu Limin, Deputy General Manager of Daming Energy Equipment.

The meeting was attended by Liu Baojun, General Manager of Baosteel; Shao Linfeng, Deputy General Manager of Baosteel and General Manager of Baosteel International, along with representatives from Baosteel’s hot-rolled steel, steel trading, regional sales and energy steel business teams. Both companies exchanged views on expanding cooperation and creating more efficient supply chain solutions for downstream manufacturers.

Zhou Keming introduced Daming’s latest development in integrated steel processing and manufacturing services. Through its nationwide processing network, Daming continues to provide customers with customized steel solutions by combining material supply, precision processing, manufacturing support and logistics services.

In its processing center business, Daming is expanding from traditional steel processing toward higher-value-added services, with a focus on specialty steel applications and customized solutions for downstream industries. In its manufacturing service business, Daming Heavy Industry continues to strengthen engineering and fabrication capabilities to support large-scale projects for customers in both domestic and international markets.

Daming Yangtze River Terminal has also enhanced its logistics capabilities through continuous improvements in cargo handling, heavy lifting and large-scale transportation services. These capabilities help improve supply chain efficiency across Daming’s operations while providing customers with more reliable delivery solutions.

Liu Baojun highlighted the strong synergy between Baosteel’s production network and Daming’s processing and service capabilities. With complementary strengths in steel products, processing capacity and customer services, both companies see significant opportunities to further expand cooperation and better support customers’ manufacturing transformation.

During the discussion, the two sides reviewed existing cooperation and explored future opportunities in specialty steel applications, overseas market development, processing center expansion and supply chain integration.

By leveraging their respective strengths, Daming International and Baosteel will continue to enhance collaboration and provide more efficient, integrated steel solutions for customers across industries.
