Jingjiang Daming Deepens Partnership with Tube Manufacturer with Monthly Steel Supply of up to 1,500 Tonnes

Jingjiang Daming has expanded its cooperation with a tube manufacturer serving the passenger vehicle sector, establishing a regular supply program of 1,000–1,500 tonnes of steel per month. Using steel supplied by Baowu and customized grades selected for the customer’s production requirements, Daming is providing a stable material supply for the manufacture of square and rectangular tubes used in passenger vehicle applications.

For this customer, material performance is critical to downstream tube forming and welding. The steel must provide the required strength while maintaining consistent forming behavior and welding stability. Based on the customer’s manufacturing processes, Jingjiang Daming worked with Baowu’s high-strength and low-alloy steel grades to develop a material specification suited to the application.

The supply program covers more than material sourcing. Daming coordinates grade selection, upstream processing, production scheduling and logistics to align steel supply with the customer’s manufacturing cycle. Regular deliveries at a monthly volume of 1,000–1,500 tonnes have helped the customer improve inventory planning and reduce the pressure of raw material procurement, while maintaining a consistent input for tube bending, forming and welding operations.

Performance across multiple deliveries has met the customer’s production requirements, confirming the suitability and consistency of the selected Baowu high-strength and low-alloy steels. The results have provided a reliable material basis for the customer’s passenger vehicle tube production and strengthened confidence in the ongoing supply arrangement.

The project also reflects Jingjiang Daming’s broader approach to automotive component supply. By combining access to a wide range of steel grades with processing and delivery capabilities, Daming can tailor material solutions to applications including exhaust systems, cooling lines, chassis structures and interior tubular components, with a focus on dimensional accuracy, strength and corrosion resistance.

Jingjiang Daming will continue to work with upstream steel producers to develop application-specific material solutions for tube manufacturers and other automotive component suppliers. The focus will remain on consistent material quality, responsive processing and reliable delivery to support customers’ production requirements.
