HD Hyundai Samho Visits Daming Heavy Industry for Technical Exchange and Collaboration

A delegation from HD Hyundai Samho, a core shipbuilding subsidiary of South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries Group, visited Daming Heavy Industry for an in-depth exchange and learning session. The delegation comprised technical experts from several key production divisions, including plate processing, section fabrication, hull construction, outfitting, painting, and design.

Luo Zhihui, Vice President of Daming Heavy Industry, together with leaders from the marketing, technology, and production departments, warmly welcomed the visitors. The delegation toured Daming’s Jingjiang manufacturing base and the Yangtze River port terminal, where they gained a comprehensive understanding of the company’s extensive material supply capabilities, advanced production equipment, and innovative technical service systems. Daming’s highly integrated processing platform, modern equipment cluster, and end-to-end “one-stop” service model were particularly well received.

During a subsequent technical exchange meeting, Vice President Luo provided an overview of Daming Group’s development, industrial layout, core business operations, landmark projects, and strategic plans. He also highlighted the company’s longstanding strengths in marine engineering and marine component manufacturing, emphasizing its technological leadership and comprehensive competitiveness. Luo expressed Daming’s willingness to explore a broad range of cooperation opportunities with HD Hyundai Samho, including joint R&D initiatives and supply chain collaboration.

The two sides held in-depth discussions on key topics such as ship production design, automated welding technologies, and intelligent manufacturing. Both parties also explored potential avenues for future cooperation in R&D and market development for marine engineering products and marine components.

The HD Hyundai Samho delegation praised Daming’s achievements in digitalization and intelligent manufacturing, noting that the company’s progress in production line automation and data-driven collaboration is at an industry-leading level.
