The client, a key player in the biomass energy sector, needed a batch of products made from 15.75mm thick low-alloy steel, with tight tolerances for processing accuracy. To meet these high standards, Hubei Daming introduced a custom-sized cut-to-length process to replace the traditional medium-plate resources. This approach not only saved time and costs but also significantly improved material efficiency, reducing waste and boosting overall productivity.

This precision technology allowed the team to control both corner and length accuracy within very tight tolerances while fully relieving the internal stress in the steel. The results were parts that were not only precise but also structurally sound, meeting the client’s rigorous specifications.

The team also used a 12-meter single-head milling machine (XBJ) to perform 45° angle milling. This was crucial in ensuring the parts were perfectly shaped for welding, eliminating the challenges posed by the thickness of the steel. As a result, the subsequent welding process went smoothly and met all necessary quality standards.
