Daming International Visits Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group

On December 9, a senior delegation from Daming International, led by Chairman Zhou Keming, visited Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group Co., Ltd. for an in-depth tour and exchange. The delegation included President Liang Zongren, Assistant to the President and General Manager of the Carbon Steel Division Zhang Jun, Group Technical Director Wang Xiaojian, General Manager of the Stainless Steel Division Xia Hongwei, Marketing Director of Daming Heavy Industry Wang Qingwei, General Manager of Hubei Daming Zhu Haibin, and Assistant General Manager Jiang Min.

The team was warmly welcomed by Wuchang Shipbuilding senior leaders, including Deputy General Manager Hong Tao, Assistant to the General Manager and Director of the Production Management Department Zou Guangqing, Deputy Director Wang Zhanwei, Deputy Director of the Ship and Offshore Technology Center at the Design and Research Institute Sun Xinhua, Deputy Director of the Materials Supply Department Zhang Yanfang, and Deputy Director of the Ship Section Department Xiong Wei.

Comprehensive On-Site Tour of a Century-Old Shipbuilding Powerhouse

The Daming delegation toured key production areas at Wuchang Shipbuilding, including the civil ship cutting and processing workshop, block shipbuilding lines, outfitting zones, painting facilities, general assembly area, and launching site.

Through the exhibition hall visit, the delegation also gained a deeper understanding of Wuchang Shipbuilding’s nearly century-long development journey and its significant contributions to China’s shipbuilding industry.

In-Depth Exchange: Sharing Capabilities and Exploring Collaboration

During the subsequent dialogue session, Chairman Zhou expressed strong admiration for Wuchang Shipbuilding’s achievements in the shipbuilding sector. He introduced Daming International’s overall operational strengths, service advantages, and strategic development plans.

Following this, Directors Wang Qingwei and Wang Xiaojian presented Daming’s capabilities in ship block fabrication and highlighted Daming’s innovative solution—using stress-relieved cut coil plates as an alternative to traditional plates in shipbuilding applications—demonstrating clear advantages in efficiency and performance.

Deputy General Manager Hong Tao fully acknowledged Daming International’s steady development and spoke highly of the company’s core strengths and resources within the shipbuilding industry. He provided an overview of Wuchang Shipbuilding’s current business landscape and market needs, expressing hope that both sides could deepen mutual trust, strengthen cooperation in block fabrication, and work together to elevate the partnership to a new level.

Both parties engaged in constructive discussions on industry trends, future cooperation pathways, and how best to achieve coordinated development.
