Following the handover of two 60-ton gantry cranes on April 12, Daming Yangtze River Port Terminal, constructed and fully owned by Daming Group, ushered in another milestone moment on April 23 – the grand ceremony of the port’s commissioning was held.<\/p>\n

Overview of Daming Yangtze River Port Terminal:<\/h4>\n

Daming Yangtze River Terminal has a superior geographic location and very convenient transportation conditions.\u00a0With large parts and steel\u00a0material\u00a0as the main\u00a0transport business, the terminal occupies\u00a0a 254-meter-long<\/span>\u00a0berthing shoreline, the first phase of which has a berth for 40,000-ton<\/span> general cargo ships, which can\u00a0manage\u00a0the berthing operation of one 10,000-ton<\/span> heavy ship and one 5,000-ton<\/span> heavy ship at the same time, and the annual design capacity has reached 1.053 million tons<\/span>. The terminal\u00a0is equipped with two 60-ton gantries and two 1,200-ton mast cranes<\/span>, which provides great convenience for the\u00a0delivery\u00a0of\u00a0large parts<\/span> manufactured by Daming\u00a0and\u00a0other local companies, and also creates more favorable conditions for the water transportation of raw materials in\u00a0Daming\u00a0Jingjiang\u00a0plant.<\/em><\/p>\n

At 9:08, Mr. Zhou Keming, chairman of the board of Daming International, announced the lifting of the first coil. The steel coil was lifted to the truck in a stable, accurate and fast manner, and then General Manager Jiang Sui-Qiang of Daming Jingjiang Processing Center announced the departure of the truck.<\/p>\n

In his speech, President Mr. Liang Zongren\u00a0of Daming International, expressed his heartfelt thanks to all Daming members who participated in this project. He pointed out that this heavyweight achievement was not easy, and emphasized that the completion of the Yangtze River Port Terminal was of great significance to the handling of large parts and steel, the long-term development of the company, and the expansion of its business areas. He hoped that the Terminal would further strengthen its internal management, improve its service quality, expand its business areas, and continue to inject new vitality and impetus into the company’s sustained development.<\/p>\n

Executive Vice President Qian Li introduced the supporting system and service advantages of the Yangtze River Terminal, pointing out that the project creates more powerful outbound transportation for raw materials and self-made large parts from Daming and companies\u00a0nearby. He said that the opening of the terminal is expected to be a very influential event in China’s shipping and manufacturing industries, and hoped that the terminal would give full play to its functions, realize its efficient operation, create a professional logistics service platform, and strive to provide safe, efficient, high-quality, and convenient logistics services for our customers.<\/p>\n

Zhou Keming, Chairman of the Board of Daming International, Zou Xiaoping, Vice Chairman of the Board, Liang Zongren, President of Daming International, Qian Li, Executive Vice President of Daming International, Ren Fenghua, Director of the Group’s Branding and Intelligence, Luo Zhihui, Vice President of Daming Heavy Industry Group, Situ Shunxin, General Manager of the Jingjiang Processing Center, Jiang Sui-Qiang, as well as leaders from the Group and the base in Jingjiang, Daming, were present at the ceremony and witnessed this historic and important moment together.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was hosted by Yang Yong, General Manager of the Group’s Construction Project Management Company and General Manager of Daming Logistics.<\/p>\n

After the handover of the 60-ton gantry, the production, equipment operation, maintenance, emergency response and other training operations of the terminal have been in an orderly progress, laying a solid technical foundation for the trial operation of the terminal. The lifting and loading of the first roll, as another exciting witness, signifies that the terminal will start a new journey!<\/p>\n
