The 2025 Daming International Shipbuilding Industry Promotion Conference and High-Tech Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Equipment Supply-Demand Matching Event was successfully held on November 20 in Jingjiang, China’s largest private shipbuilding base. Guided by the Jiangsu Provincial Shipbuilding Industry Association and co-hosted by Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group (TISCO) and Daming International, the event aimed to address new industry needs and promote upgraded materials and manufacturing services.

More than 150 representatives from government agencies, steel mills, shipyards, shipowners, supply-chain service providers, and international classification societies attended. Participants included the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Baosteel, Maanshan Iron & Steel, Harbin Welding Institute, Siemens Energy, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, and major classification societies such as CCS, BV, ABS, DNV, and LR.

Daming International Chairman Zhou Keming emphasized the conference’s mission to deepen cooperation across the shipbuilding value chain and support green, intelligent industry development. He introduced Daming’s continuously upgraded “one-stop” shipbuilding service model, highlighting its commitment to strengthening partnerships with steel mills, improving processing capabilities, accelerating delivery, and better addressing customer needs.

TISCO Vice General Manager Gao Feng reviewed TISCO’s achievements in high-performance stainless steel and reinforced its commitment to innovation, customer-centered service, and deeper collaboration with Daming. He underscored TISCO’s focus on developing next-generation high-strength, high-toughness steels to support the shipbuilding industry’s quality upgrade.

From Baosteel, General Manager of the Hot Rolled Sales Department of Baosteel Marketing Center Xu Yaqi highlighted Baosteel’s role as one of China’s largest shipbuilding steel suppliers and its long-standing cooperation with Daming. He stressed the importance of joint R&D, green development, and stronger supply chain coordination to deliver more comprehensive solutions to shipbuilding customers.

Jiang Zhiyong, Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Shipbuilding Industry Association, praised Daming’s successful transformation from a materials supplier to a manufacturing service provider. He noted the association’s role in supporting technology upgrades, supply-chain collaboration, and ecosystem innovation to drive the high-quality development of Jiangsu’s shipbuilding sector.
