Shandong Daming Successfully Completes Shipment of Oversized Special-Shaped Cargo

As Shandong Daming steadily expands its value-added processing operations, the volume of prefabricated and welded orders has grown year by year, with product specifications, categories, and delivery formats becoming increasingly diverse. Recently, a key client requested a last-minute change: welded assemblies originally planned for open external shipment needed to be transported in 40-foot enclosed containers.

This shipment represented the company’s first attempt at fully containerizing large welded components, with no prior in-house experience or dedicated handling equipment. Faced with high volumes and tight delivery schedules, the production team quickly coordinated with engineering and operations departments to verify part dimensions, weights, and structural characteristics, ensuring compliance with the client’s loading specifications. Drawing on insights from external professional packing teams and taking into account product shape and weight distribution, the team optimized container layout, securing methods, and protective measures through repeated on-site simulations.

Special attention was given to irregular components prone to impact or unstable balance, with custom supports and bindings applied, and multiple rounds of on-site trials conducted to refine the shipment plan. During execution, staff worked in coordinated teams, precisely controlling lifting positions and stacking spacing, and adjusting securing methods in real time. Both batches of welded assemblies were successfully loaded, reinforced, and sealed according to the planned workflow.

The successful operation not only overcame previous limitations in containerizing large, irregular components but also established practical experience for future shipments. The process has now been formalized into standardized operating procedures, enhancing Shandong Daming’s ability to reliably deliver complex, value-added products and supporting the company’s continued growth in advanced processing operations.
