Daming Heavy Industry Completes ASME Re-certification

Daming Heavy Industry has passed the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) recertification audit for the U, U2, and R certifications and has additionally obtained the S-2 certification, marking a major milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to international quality standards and global manufacturing excellence.

The joint audit, conducted from July 23 to 24, was led by a four-member team from the ASME standard product joint inspection body. The inspection covered the full quality management system associated with ASME certification, alongside a rigorous evaluation for the company’s upgrade from PRT (boiler components) to S-2 (power boiler manufacturing) certification.

Comprehensive Review of ASME Quality Control System

Over the course of two days, the inspection team conducted a detailed audit of the Daming Heavy Industry ASME quality control system. The audit included a thorough review of:

  • System documentation, operational records, and procedural compliance
  • Design and procurement management
  • Material traceability and welding procedures
  • Heat treatment and non-destructive testing (NDT) protocols
  • Equipment calibration and product inspection processes
  • On-site welding demonstrations and technical interviews with key personnel

The inspectors evaluated the implementation of the ASME code across all relevant departments and examined the degree to which Daming’s engineering and technical teams had mastered the quality manual and applicable standards.

Technical Competence and Operational Readiness Affirmed

Throughout the audit process, the Daming Heavy Industry team demonstrated strong system control, clear technical understanding, and efficient collaboration across departments. The inspection team acknowledged the company’s professional engineering capabilities, comprehensive quality assurance framework, and large-scale operational strength.

The audit also provided opportunities for technical exchanges, with the ASME team offering professional recommendations to further enhance Daming’s application of ASME standards in real-world production environments.

Any issues identified during the inspection were resolved promptly through targeted corrective measures, which were recognized by the inspection team as timely and effective.

Successful Certification and Business Scope Expansion

After the audit, the inspection team officially recommended to ASME headquarters that Daming Heavy Industry be reauthorized for the U, U2, and R certifications, and granted the S-2 certification.

This S-2 upgrade significantly expands Daming’s manufacturing capabilities, enabling the company to design and produce a broader range of high-pressure components and power boiler equipment. It also enhances the company’s qualifications to undertake more complex and higher-standard engineering projects in sectors such as energy, petrochemicals, and power generation.

Strengthening Global Competitiveness Through Standards and Innovation

The successful completion of this ASME recertification and upgrade audit further demonstrates Daming Heavy Industry’s commitment to global best practices in engineering, manufacturing, and quality management. It also reinforces the company’s long-term strategic positioning as a trusted supplier of high-performance pressure equipment on the international stage.

Daming Heavy Industry will continue to uphold the highest standards of operational excellence, deepen its technical expertise, and work closely with partners across industries to deliver safe, reliable, and internationally certified products.
