Jingjiang Daming has resolved a precision bending challenge involving N06617 nickel-based alloy components used in critical nuclear power combustion chamber applications.

The material presents significant forming difficulty due to its combination of high tensile strength and ductility, requiring tight control over dimensional accuracy, surface condition, and process stability beyond standard fabrication requirements.

During initial production, dimensional deviations were identified, including inconsistent opening dimensions and forming height variation. The issue was traced to insufficient lower die clearance at the flange edge during bending, which caused tool slip and instability in the forming process.

To address the problem, the engineering team conducted a structured root-cause analysis and implemented iterative improvements covering tooling configuration, process parameter adjustment, and equipment setup optimization. Multiple rounds of trial forming and die refinement were carried out to stabilize the process window.

Following process stabilization, subsequent production batches achieved consistent dimensional performance and full compliance with technical specifications, enabling stable and repeatable production output for the component.
