Like many newcomers, his first challenge was telephone outreach. Making more than 20 calls a day, he quickly got into the rhythm of sales\u2014identifying 30 potential clients and successfully closing deals with 3 to 4 of them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1098\" data-end=\"1293\">This experience helped him make the shift from student to working professional, while giving him a practical understanding of how to communicate with customers and develop business opportunities.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1295\" data-end=\"1298\" \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-section-id=\"1ucb6ud\" data-start=\"1300\" data-end=\"1350\">Learning by Doing: Why Meeting Clients Matters<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1352\" data-end=\"1616\">When Zheng moved to the special steel division, he realized that sales there required a deeper level of understanding. These products are highly specialized and valuable, and customer needs are often complex\u2014something that can\u2019t be fully understood over the phone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1618\" data-end=\"1857\">Daming\u2019s approach to training made a big difference. Through these face-to-face interactions, he\u2019s come to a simple but important conclusion:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2047\" data-end=\"2203\">\n<p data-start=\"2049\" data-end=\"2203\">\u201cIn sales, you need to get out and meet people. Even a few visits can make a difference\u2014when clients need something, they\u2019re more likely to think of you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<hr data-start=\"2205\" data-end=\"2208\" \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-section-id=\"bpnrzs\" data-start=\"2210\" data-end=\"2264\">Finding Solutions: Turning Challenges into Results<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2266\" data-end=\"2359\">As he gained experience, Zheng began handling client requests on his own. One case stood out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2361\" data-end=\"2568\">A customer needed parts in multiple sizes, but differences in pricing made it difficult to reach an agreement. Instead of letting the opportunity go, Zheng stayed in touch and looked for another way forward.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2570\" data-end=\"2805\">After learning that the client could cut materials themselves, he checked inventory and suggested buying a full 2000\u00d76000 mm sheet instead. It turned out to be a more cost-effective option\u2014and also a relatively rare size in the market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2807\" data-end=\"2893\">After about two weeks of back-and-forth discussions, the deal was successfully closed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2895\" data-end=\"2935\">Looking back, Zheng summed it up simply:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2937\" data-end=\"3080\">\n<p data-start=\"2939\" data-end=\"3080\">\u201cIf one option doesn\u2019t work, offer others.
