Jiangsu Daming Delivers 580 Tonnes of Precision-Processed TA2 Titanium Strip Ahead of Schedule

Jiangsu Daming has completed a 580-tonne export order for TA2 titanium strip used in the manufacture of ultra-thin, narrow-width welded tubes, delivering the entire batch ahead of schedule with no reported quality issues or delays. Processed on its 1,300 mm slitting line, the order demonstrates Jiangsu Daming’s ability to handle demanding specialty metal processing requirements and provide reliable support for export customers.

The titanium strip measures just 0.5 mm in thickness and is slit to a width of 54.6 mm. Processing material of this thickness and width requires tight control, as even minor variations can lead to edge burrs, waviness or dimensional distortion. Consistent results depend on equipment precision, operator expertise, accurate tension control and stable winding. The export order also called for strict standards covering surface quality, protective packaging and transport safety.

To meet these requirements, Jiangsu Daming’s project team coordinated closely across production and quality control before processing began. Key production parameters were reviewed, inspection criteria were established, and packaging procedures were defined to ensure consistent quality throughout the process and reliable delivery.

During slitting, the production team carefully controlled strip tension, line speed and blade clearance, while monitoring surface condition, edge flatness and dimensional tolerances throughout the run. This close process control helped minimize defects and maintain the required precision across the finished material.

Packaging was tailored to the customer’s export requirements. Each strip was individually wrapped and secured in an upright position, with protective film applied before the products were neatly packed into cases. These measures helped prevent scratches, compression damage and deformation, keeping the material clean and protected during long-distance sea transport.

In a separate recent project, Jiangsu Daming also completed precision processing for a batch of TA10 titanium barrel components under the guidance of the Group’s Technical Center. The completion of both projects further demonstrates its experience in processing specialty titanium materials and provides a solid basis for continued cooperation with the customer.

Jiangsu Daming will continue to refine its titanium processing techniques, particularly for challenging ultra-thin and narrow-width materials, while maintaining rigorous quality control and dependable delivery to meet customers’ demanding manufacturing and export requirements.
