Hubei Daming Completes Large Stainless Steel Bending Components for Wastewater Treatment

Hubei Daming has completed a batch of large stainless steel bending components for a wastewater treatment project in the environmental and chemical industry. With individual panels exceeding 10 meters in length, the components feature multiple bends and are designed for use in corrosive wastewater environments.

The project required close control of cutting dimensions, bend angles, overall straightness and surface condition. Long stainless steel panels are particularly challenging to form, as springback can cause lateral bending and twisting, while improper handling can leave scratches on the surface. For components used in corrosive environments, such defects can affect both assembly accuracy and long-term service performance.

Before moving into full-scale production, the customer conducted a small-batch trial to verify the components against actual operating and assembly requirements. Hubei Daming’s sales, engineering and production teams reviewed the drawings and forming process in advance, with particular attention to springback compensation and the forming sequence. The trial parts were then completed through cutting, bending and full-dimensional inspection.

The trial components achieved the required dimensional accuracy and forming quality and passed the customer’s assembly validation, providing a proven process for subsequent batch production.

The following batch was produced under a tight delivery schedule. Hubei Daming coordinated large-format bending equipment across its production resources and refined tooling configurations and forming parameters to maintain dimensional stability throughout the long sections and multiple bends. Particular attention was given to controlling twisting and deformation during forming.

Surface protection was maintained throughout cutting, bending and material handling. Process controls were applied at each stage to minimize scratches and protect the stainless steel surface required for corrosion-resistant service.

The completed components were delivered on schedule and met the specified quality requirements. The project adds to Hubei Daming’s experience in producing large, non-standard stainless steel structures where dimensional control, forming consistency and surface integrity are critical.
