Daming Delivers High-End Stainless Steel Plates to Malaysia

Wuxi Daming, one of Daming’s eleven processing centers, has completed a new export project as part of its ongoing international business development, delivering more than 200 tons of precision-processed flat stainless steel products to a high-end manufacturing equipment project in Malaysia. The shipment was completed on schedule and supports the company’s business targets for 2026.

The order involved the processing of 316L stainless steel, a material widely used in demanding environments due to its strong corrosion resistance and high-temperature performance. More than 13,000 pieces of plates of various specifications were produced, each measuring 0.7 mm in thickness and 1,800 mm in length. Given the application in high-end equipment manufacturing, the customer required strict control over flatness, surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and consistency.

To meet these requirements, Wuxi Daming established a dedicated project team spanning sales, production planning, manufacturing, equipment management, warehousing, and quality control. The team implemented full-process quality management, covering order review, trial production, inspection, mass production, packaging, and logistics. Through the use of advanced slitting and flattening processes, along with rigorous control from raw material selection to final delivery, the project met all technical and quality specifications.

Southeast Asia has emerged as one of the world’s fastest-growing steel consumption markets, driven by industrialization, infrastructure development, and the expansion of manufacturing sectors including electronics, energy, chemical processing, and transportation equipment. Countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia are increasingly prioritizing high-performance materials, particularly corrosion-resistant stainless steel for specialized and high-end applications.

While local steel production capacity continues to grow, the region still relies heavily on imports for high-precision, high-quality processed products. This gap creates opportunities for steel processors with advanced manufacturing capabilities, stable quality control, and integrated service offerings.
