Daming Yangtze River Terminal en Comisión oficialmente

In the presence of 300 guests from steel industry chain, the opening ceremony of Daming Yangtze River Terminal was grandly held July 3 after years of preparation and construction.

As a key project of Jiangyin-Jingjiang Industrial Park, Jiangsu, China, this terminal ushers in another milestone in Daming’s history of 36-year development.

Taking long and large steel parts as its main transport business, the terminal occupies a 254-meter-long berthing shoreline, the first phase of which has a berth for 40,000-ton general cargo ships, which can manage the berthing operation of one 10,000-ton heavy ship and one 5,000-ton heavy ship at the same time with two 60-ton gantries and two 1,200-ton derrick cranes standing by.

As Mr Zhou Keming, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Daming International, empasized in his welcome speech, Daming Yangtze River Terminal is specially positioned to serve steel industry chain.

He pointed out that the significance of the terminal is far beyond the general logistics function. With top equipment, this terminal can not only optimize the efficiency, quality and cost of Daming’s manufacturing process, but also provides a strong support to improve the transportation efficiency and reduce the cost, and vitalize the international business for a leap. The completion and opening of the terminal will be more favorable for Daming to join hands with steel mills and international trading companies to provide targeted “package” services for  major projects of domestic and foreign key customers.

Around 300 guests from renowned steel mills, port and shipbuilding companies, and city government attended the opening ceremony of the terminal, sending their blessings to Daming.

Speech by Mr. Shang Jiajun, General Manager of TISCO Stainless Steel, China Baowu, a shareholder of Daming.

He expressed his heartfelt congratulations on the completion and opening of Daming Yangtze River Terminal, reviewed the fruitful results achieved by TISCO and Daming, and expressed his deep impression of Daming’s focus on the steel industry and its ability to meet customers’ needs, which is “dedicated, focused and professional”. It is believed that the terminal will further enhance Daming’s logistics advantages and comprehensive service capabilities, and will be of great significance in improving the stability and competitiveness of the entire steel industry supply chain.

Speech by Mr. Xu Yaqi, General Manager of Hot Rolling Sales Department, Marketing Center of Baosteel, a shareholder of Daming.

He said that Baosteel and Daming have carried out in-depth cooperation over the years in terms of user expansion, new product development, etc., and have gradually increased cooperation through complementary advantages and technological collaboration. He believed the opening of Daming Yangtze River Terminal will certainly provide new impetus for Daming’s logistics capacity and add new vitality to the expansion and extension of the industrial chain.

Deputy General Manager of Beibu Gulf International Port Group, Chairman of Beigang New Materials, Mr. Pan Yuting Delivered a Speech.

Mr Pan Yuting introduced the strength of Beibu Gulf Port Group and Beigang New Materials, and said he has established a solid mutual trust and deep friendship with Daming, and the opening of the terminal is not only an important event for Daming’s high-quality development, but also another gathering of both sides to deepen their cooperation from stainless steel to the port field. He believed that there will be more in-depth cooperation in the future in terms of expanding product application, enhancing the brand influence and extending the industrial chain.

Mr Lv Ming introduced Shandong Iron and Steel’s business situation and service strength, said Daming is a very important strategic partner of Shanshan Iron and Steel. Over the years the two sides have always maintained a very close cooperation, he believed the opening of the terminal will also have a positive impact on the industry, and will certainly support the high-quality development of the whole industrial chain, promote the local economy to a new level to play an important role, but also for the achievements of Shanshan Iron and Steel and Daming deepen their cooperation in the new journey.

Speech by NAITO KENJI, General Manager of Hanwa (Shanghai) Management Company

He recalled his feelings during his previous visit to Daming Jingjiang Base, and expressed his surprise by Daming’s high-end equipment clusters and advanced production lines serving construction machinery. He said as a partner of Daming Group, Hanwa will endeavor to contribute, and sincerely wish Daming will become better and better.

Zhao Qiang, Member of the Party Committee and Chief Accountant of Dongfang Electric Machinery of Dongfang Electric Corporation, Delivered a Speech.

He expressed his heartfelt thanks to Daming for its strong support to Dongfang Electric over the years, and paid tribute, thanks and blessings to Daiming. He pointed out that the opening of the 10,000-ton Daming Yangtze River Terminal has greatly strengthened Daming’s service capacity.
